Trinath Sain (born 5 July 1980 in Barapalason, Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal) is an Indian writer, businessman, and social worker. He is the President of Nritya Sadhana Odissi Dance Academy and has received multiple awards for his contributions to literature, dance, and social welfare, including the London Book of World Records recognition, Rashtriya Gaurav Puraskar 2025, and International Icon Award 2025.

Early Life and Education

Trinath Sain was born on 5 July 1980 in Bara Palashan village, Purba Bardhaman district, West Bengal. He pursued an MBA before beginning his professional journey as a businessman and writer. From an early age, he was deeply inspired by the works of Mahasweta Devi, which encouraged him to write his first novel. He has also expressed gratitude and inspiration from the West Bengal Government, Honorable Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and Abhishek Banerjee, whose encouragement he considers a guiding force in his journey.

Career

Trinath Sain began his professional career in media, where he worked for 10 years before fully dedicating himself to literature and social work. He is also a businessman and scriptwriter, balancing his creative pursuits with entrepreneurship. In 2009, he actively started social work, blending his passion for art, dance, and literature with grassroots initiatives.

As President of Nritya Sadhana Odissi Dance Academy, he has promoted Odissi dance globally and trained under Guru Mrutyunjay Basak. His choreography and direction have carried strong social messages, often reflecting the welfare schemes of the West Bengal Government. His academy has performed in over 8 countries and aims to reach 22 more.
