Shailendra Sengar
Shailendra Sengar (born 16 November 1972) is an Indian politician, author, and social activist from Chapra, Bihar. He is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and has served as the National Vice President of the BJP Kisan Morcha, the farmer wing of the party. He is also the President of the Saran Foundation, a charitable trust dedicated to development initiatives in the Saran district of Bihar. Known as a Hindu nationalist and youth leader, Sengar has been active in public life for over three decades.
Education
Sengar studied History at DAV PG College, Dehradun, and later pursued higher education at Delhi University, New Delhi, where he earned a Master’s degree in History. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism and a Ph.D.
Political and Social Career
Shailendra Sengar began his career with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Swadeshi Jagaran Manch, where he was involved in grassroots organizational activities. He later rose within the BJP ranks, becoming the National Vice President of the BJP Kisan Morcha. In this role, he contributed to shaping agricultural policies, farmer outreach programs, and strengthening the farmer wing of the party.
As President of the Saran Foundation, Sengar has promoted charitable and developmental activities in Bihar, with a focus on education, rural upliftment, and youth empowerment. He is also active in promoting sports and cultural activities in the region.
Sports and Cultural Engagement
Sengar is the President of Hockey Saran and serves as Patron of the Saran District Chess Association and the Saran District Sepak Takraw Association. He is also the President of the Saran Premier League, a Twenty20 cricket tournament associated with the Saran District Cricket Association. Through these roles, he supports sports development and youth participation in competitive and recreational activities.
