Naresh Kumar is an Indian officer, national athlete, and author based in Bhopal. Naresh Kumar is known for his exceptional achievements in banking, athletics under the Sports Authority of India, and his inspiring journey of resilience.

Early Life

Naresh Kumar was born on 1 August 1995 in Tara Sewaniya, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He completed his schooling at Nutan School (Shaskiya Subhash Utkrist Uchatar Madhyamik Vidyalaya), Bhopal.

Education

Naresh Kumar graduated from Ramjas College, University of Delhi. He also served as a resource person for special category students at Miranda House, University of Delhi, for four years.

Career

Naresh Kumar began his professional career in banking and has been serving as an Assistant Manager at Union Bank of India since 2023. Alongside his banking career, he is an accomplished national athlete affiliated with the Sports Authority of India (SAI), competing in judo, powerlifting, running, and marathon events. He has also worked as a transcriber and author of three books published by Delhi Public Library, including stories on ghosts, motivational tales, and children's stories. Additionally, Naresh has experience as a kabaddi coach.

Achievements

Naresh Kumar has won 15 medals in 9 national competitions under the Sports Authority of India. His athletic expertise spans multiple disciplines, including judo, powerlifting, running, and marathons.

Personal Life

In February 2024, Naresh Kumar survived a severe road accident that resulted in the amputation of his right leg above the knee. Despite undergoing seven major surgeries, including four re-amputations, and facing critical health challenges, he demonstrated remarkable mental strength and resilience. Today, he has returned to his banking career and fitness routine, inspiring many with his story of determination and recovery.
