Dr Shailesh kumar Pandey
Dr. Shailesh Kumar Pandey is an Indian educationist, author, historian, and organizational strategist. He is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh and serves as a Co-Coordinator of the National Training Campaign of the party. He is widely known in Prayagraj for his academic contributions, political organization skills, and role as a public speaker.
Early Life
Dr. Shailesh Kumar Pandey was born on 25 January 1975 in Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh, into a disciplined and service-oriented family. His surname is Pandey. He is the only son of the late Akshayavat Pandey and late Vimla Pandey. His father served for 21 years in the Indian Air Force and actively participated in the 1962 India–China War and the 1965 and 1971 India–Pakistan Wars, for which he received gallantry recognition.
Education
Dr. Pandey completed his early schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, New Cantt, Prayagraj. He later pursued higher education at Allahabad University, earning a Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Hindi, Ancient History, and Philosophy. He completed his Master’s degree in Ancient History and obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree.
He earned an additional Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University. He also completed a Master’s degree in Education with distinction, a Bachelor of Education degree in first division, and later completed doctoral research to obtain a PhD.
Student and Ideological Engagement
During his university years, Dr. Pandey was actively associated with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). Though he did not contest student elections, he played a significant organizational role and gained recognition for his leadership abilities.
He has been associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since his school years and served in various organizational roles including branch instructor, branch secretary, and city functionary. He has also completed organizational training programs.

Academic Career
After completing his studies, Dr. Pandey cleared competitive examinations conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board and was appointed as a History Lecturer in 2003. In 2013, he was selected for the post of Principal in four districts of Uttar Pradesh, though due to legal and administrative constraints, he has not yet assumed charge.
Role in Teachers’ Organizations
Dr. Pandey was actively associated with the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh (Sharma Group). He served in various capacities including Joint Secretary, Acting District Secretary, and State Executive Member, gaining popularity among teaching professionals for his organizational skills.
Political Career
Dr. Pandey has been politically active since 1995. He has served the Bharatiya Janata Party in multiple roles including Booth President, Sector In-Charge, District Minister of BJP Yuva Morcha, Executive Member of the Mandal Committee, and Co-Coordinator of the BJP Teachers’ Cell in the Kashi region.
He played key organizational roles in state and municipal elections, including the 2023 urban local body elections in Prayagraj, where he served as Assembly In-Charge. He has also coordinated major programs such as citizenship awareness campaigns, national flag marches, and training workshops.
Currently, he serves as District Coordinator for the Allahabad–Jhansi Graduate Constituency Election scheduled for 2026.
Writing and Journalism
Dr. Pandey has received formal training in journalism and writing from Gandhi Thought and Peace Studies Institute, Allahabad University. He has served as editor of teachers’ magazines and has written extensively for leading newspapers and academic journals. His scholarly articles have been published in multiple research and literary periodicals.
Public Speaking and Media Presence
Dr. Pandey is recognized as a prominent public speaker. He has participated in debates and panel discussions on national television channels including DD News, News18, ABP News, Sahara Samay, and others, presenting views on education, politics, history, and social issues.
