Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh was born on 08 January 1979 in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, into a Chauhan Rajput family known for strong traditional values. He is the only child of Mr. R. C. Singh, a farmer, and Mrs. Savitri Devi, a homemaker.
He is married to Mrs. Pooja Raja and has four children: Anshika, Tanishka, Vanshika, and Shivansh. His upbringing in a disciplined and value-oriented household strongly influenced his professional ethics and leadership style.

Between 2005 and 2009, he served as Assistant Manager at UEM India Pvt. Ltd., followed by roles in large-scale power and water infrastructure projects with Driplex Water Engineering Ltd., Jindal India Thermal Power Ltd., and BGR Energy Systems Ltd., where he managed balance-of-plant systems for coal-based thermal power projects.
From 2013 to 2024, he worked with Bajaj Group at Lalitpur Power Generation Company Limited, progressing to AGM Operations and Maintenance. In April 2024, he was appointed Deputy General Manager, overseeing operations, maintenance planning, budgeting, safety compliance, and performance optimization of supercritical thermal power units.
