Vikas gupta
vikas gupta is an Indian orthopedic, hand & upper extremity surgeon based in Delhi. He is recognized for pioneering several advanced surgical techniques in India, including the use of locking plates for fracture fixation and various firsts in wrist and thumb surgeries.

vikas gupta was born on 24 April 1969 in Delhi, India.
Education
vikas gupta completed his M.B.B.S. from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (A.I.I.M.S.), New Delhi, followed by an M.S. in Orthopedics from New Delhi.
Career
vikas gupta is noted as the first surgeon in India to use locking plates for fracture fixation. He was also the first to perform arthroscopic wrist surgeries, wrist replacement, and osteointegrated thumb prosthesis in the country. Additionally, he serves as the secretary and honorary treasurer for the Indian Society for Surgery of Hand.
