Tausif Ahmed

Tausif Ahmed is an Indian technopreneur, governance, risk, and compliance expert, and the founder and chief executive officer of Purplecop Security. He is known for building Purplecop One, an AI-powered governance, risk, and compliance platform designed to simplify regulatory compliance and risk management for organizations. With over a decade of experience, he has worked across multinational corporations and startups in the areas of cybersecurity, IT audits, and compliance transformation.

Early Life

Tausif Ahmed was born on 11 August 1989 in Faizabad, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. His early education took place across different parts of India, including Darjeeling and Bikaner, due to his father’s service in the Indian Army. He later returned to Faizabad, Ayodhya, where he completed his schooling.

Career

Tausif Ahmed began his professional career in the financial services sector, working as a Product Executive at Shriram Transport Finance Company Limited, where he was involved in credit analysis, field inspections, and commercial vehicle financing.

He later joined American Express as a Senior Compliance Analyst, where he managed vendor payables, financial audits, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting across the EMEA region. His work included overseeing internal controls, audit readiness, and financial compliance initiatives.

From 2016 to 2019, he served as Senior Compliance Specialist at Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants India Private Limited, working with Google India. In this role, he led finance and IT compliance oversight, third-party risk management, vendor audits, SOX governance, and compliance automation initiatives.

In 2019, he founded Upskillfinder, an EdTech company focused on professional training in cybersecurity, compliance, IT audits, and risk management. As chief executive officer, he led the organization until 2024, during which time Upskillfinder trained over 10,000 professionals globally through industry-focused learning programs.

In 2024, Tausif Ahmed founded Purplecop Security, a cybersecurity and compliance services and product company. As founder and chief executive officer, he spearheaded the development of Purplecop One, an AI-powered and fully automated GRC platform that supports organizations in managing IT, privacy, and regulatory compliance frameworks. His role includes product development, client engagement, audit delivery, and business growth strategy.
