Jay Prakash Anuragi, also known as J. P. Anuragi, is an Indian educator and politician from Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh. He is currently serving as the District Panchayat President of Mahoba and is also associated with the field of secondary education as a principal and mathematics lecturer.

Early Life

Jayprakash Anuragi was born on 3 April 1974 in Paprenda village of Banda district, Uttar Pradesh. He was raised in a rural environment that influenced his strong interest in education and public service.

Education

He completed his Master of Science in Mathematics from the University of Allahabad and later earned a Bachelor of Education degree. His academic background enabled him to pursue a long-term career in teaching and educational administration.

Career in Education

Jayprakash Anuragi began his professional career in education on 5 December 2001. He has been working as a Mathematics Lecturer for intermediate-level classes and also serves as the Principal of Jantantra Inter College, Kulpahar, in Mahoba district. His work focuses on academic discipline, student development, and institutional growth.

Political Career

He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2007 as an active worker. Over the years, he has held several organizational responsibilities, including District Minister, District Convener of the Teachers’ Cell, District General Secretary, and Regional Minister of the Kanpur–Bundelkhand region.

District Panchayat Leadership

Since 12 July 2021, Jayprakash Anuragi has been serving as the District Panchayat President of Mahoba district. In this role, he is involved in local governance, rural development initiatives, and administrative oversight.

Jayprakash Anuragi resides in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh. He continues to contribute to public life through education and political leadership.
