Krishna Lakamsani is an Indian-born serial entrepreneur, investor and Harvard Business School Alumnus with three decades of experience building, scaling, and exiting businesses across technology, staffing, retail distribution, financial services, and investments. He legally goes by the name Srirama Krishna Lakamsani, and he operates globally through the Lakamsani Group, a diversified family office and holding firm.

Early Life

Krishna Lakamsani was born in a village called Vadluru near Tanuku, Andhra Pradesh, India, into a farming family. Seeking broader opportunities, he moved from his village to Hyderabad, later to Mumbai, Australia, and eventually to the United States. These transitions shaped his approach to entrepreneurship, emphasizing adaptability, financial discipline, and long-term value creation.

Early Career

Krishna Lakamsani began his professional journey as a faculty member at SSI Ltd., where he trained students in Microsoft technologies, database systems, and application development. During this period, he trained approximately 580 students and gained foundational experience in teaching, mentoring, and systems thinking.

He later worked in technical roles at BT Financial Group in Sydney, Australia, and at 1800Flowers.com in New York, United States. At 1800flowers.com, he served as a Database Administrator and was involved in building scalable database infrastructure, global site load balancing systems, disaster recovery setups, and high-availability environments supporting large-scale e-commerce operations.

Entrepreneurial Journey

At the age of 23, Krishna Lakamsani founded his first registered venture, Hello Communications Inc., a telecom and virtual calling card business serving immigrant communities under the DesiPhone brand. The company also supported BPO and call center voice connectivity. In 2006, the business assets were sold to a New York–based telecom company.

In 2005, he founded Infovision Technologies Inc., focusing on IT services and infrastructure management. The company experienced rapid growth, expanding approximately fifteenfold within four years and earning recognition on the Inc. 500 list. Infovision’s U.S. business was acquired in 2012 by a publicly listed infrastructure management services company.

Parallelly, he founded Infovista Technologies Inc., offering delegated infrastructure management services, including database administration, cloud services, and enterprise IT support. Infovista was acquired in 2011 by a publicly listed Indian infrastructure services company.

In 2012, Krishna Lakamsani founded iPay Tech as a product company focused on e-commerce marketplaces and omnichannel payments, backed by a paid-up capital of $5M. In 2019, he expanded into global staffing by acquiring a Southeast Asia–based staffing firm headquartered in Jakarta. Today, TopMindz operates across 12 offices in 6 countries, delivering outcome-driven staffing solutions—remote (cloud), hybrid, or on-site—helping clients scale with dedicated teams aligned to their time zones, SLAs, tools, and SOPs.

In 2013, Krishna Lakamsani launched Dukanline India Private Limited, a technology-driven retail distribution platform aimed at connecting kirana stores directly with FMCG brands. The platform served over 18,000 retailers and millions of customers. The technology and intellectual property assets were acquired in 2018 by a publicly traded company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

In 2016, Krishna Lakamsani acquired Buragadda Financials and Chits Pvt Ltd (BFC), rebranded it as Finvesco Capital, secured Reserve Bank of India approval for the change in control, and assumed charge as Managing Director. Over the following years, he strengthened governance, risk management, and collections, scaling the loan book and business by 10X. The company’s origins trace back to 1978, when BFC was established as an RBI-registered Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC). Krishna completed a full divestment in March 2024.

In 2012, Krishna Lakamsani established Lakamsani Group as a family office and diversified holding firm. As Chairman, he oversees group strategy, capital allocation, governance, and operational discipline.
