Dr. Sanjeev Kumar (born Sanjeev Awasthee) is an Indian corporate consultant, Advocate at the Supreme Court of India, distinguished academic, and world record-holding Hindi author. With over four decades of experience in corporate law, finance, governance, and literature, he is recognized as one of the most prolific contemporary Hindi writers, having authored and published 296 books across genres.
He is the Founder & Chairman of India Netbooks Pvt. Ltd. and BPA Foundation, institutions dedicated to publishing, legal scholarship, education, and promotion of Hindi literature globally.
Early Life
Dr. Sanjeev Kumar was born on 4 February 1960 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. His father, Late Sri Bhagwati Prasad Awasthee, was a Lecturer in Ancient Indian History, and his mother, Late Smt. Shiv Pyari Devi, was a scholar with deep interest in Sanskrit, literature, music, and astrology.
He grew up in a culturally rich and academically disciplined environment, which deeply influenced his literary and intellectual development.
