Vijay Tomar (born 26 January 1972) is an Indian social worker, organisational leader, and entrepreneur. Active for more than three decades, he is best known for serving as the National Vice-President of the Human Rights Protection Organisation, where he oversees nationwide programmes related to disability support, women’s and child rights, minority engagement, and disaster relief.

Raised in a family of freedom fighters, Tomar has led initiatives ranging from the restoration of historic temples to legal advocacy for approximately two crore freedom-fighter descendants across India.

Early Life and Education

Vijay Tomar was born on 26 January 1972 into a family deeply associated with India’s independence movement. Influenced by the public-service values of his grandfather, maternal grandfather, and father, he developed an early inclination toward community service.

He completed a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) degree and initially entered the training and supply business sector before dedicating himself full-time to social and organisational work.

Before transitioning fully into social work, Tomar managed a training and supply enterprise that provided logistical and operational support to small manufacturers in Uttar Pradesh.

Social and Organisational Work

Vijay Tomar has held leadership roles across multiple social and advocacy organisations:

  • Human Rights Protection Organisation – National Vice-President (2018–present); responsible for nationwide programmes including free prosthetic-limb camps, medical outreach initiatives, women’s safety drives, child-rights education, and disaster response.
  • Freedom-Fighter Descendants Association – Founder and President; coordinates claims, documentation, and welfare benefits for approximately two crore families connected to India’s independence movement.
  • Kirpalay Trust of India – Chair; oversees community kitchens, mass marriages for under-privileged girls, and free micro-enterprise and skill-training initiatives.
  • Minority Development of India (MDI) – Convenor; conducts awareness campaigns related to the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, National Register of Citizens, and associated policies, while organising political awareness and membership drives in minority communities.
  • Temple and Cultural Heritage Initiative – Project Lead; directed the restoration and re-consecration of more than 100 historic temples and promoted inclusive access for Scheduled Castes in places of worship.

He was appointed Director-General of Government Affairs and Protocol, India Chapter. The recognition acknowledged his contributions to economic cooperation, trade partnerships, and cultural diplomacy between India, Arab nations, and African countries.

Personal Life

Vijay Tomar resides with his family in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Outside his organisational responsibilities, he conducts motivational speaking sessions focused on patriotism, civic engagement, and grassroots activism.
