Indian Economic Trade Organization
Indian Economic Trade Organisation (IETO) is a Delhi-based non-profit organization focused on advancing economic diplomacy, bilateral trade partnerships, and cross-cultural cooperation between India and countries across the globe. Founded by Dr. Asif Iqbal and headquartered in Bangalore, IETO facilitates government, academic, and private sector collaboration through delegations, trade summits, and international conferences.
Overview
IETO acts as a strategic platform for promoting Indian business interests internationally while fostering diplomatic and cultural ties. It connects businesses, chambers, universities, and policymakers across more than 30 countries. Through delegations, summits, and partnerships, IETO supports inclusive economic development and SDG-aligned initiatives.
Advisory & Training Programs
IETO runs a three-month practical Diplomacy and Global Event Management Course designed for professionals in diplomacy, academia, and leadership. The course includes modules on summit and conference planning, corporate diplomacy, and international cooperation. Faculty include experts from institutions such as BEST University and IMI.
Bilateral Relations & Delegations
IETO organizes international trade and cultural delegations to support India's global trade agenda. It has established partnerships with countries such as Estonia, Bulgaria, Latvia, Israel, Oman, Poland, Palestine, Djibouti, Namibia, Lithuania, Portugal, Thailand, the United States, and others.

The organization is led by Dr. Asif Iqbal, who serves as the Founder President. Under his leadership, IETO has grown into a global institution connecting Indian interests with international partners through economic diplomacy.
