Niraj Kumar, popularly known as Niraj Giri, is an Indian entrepreneur, philanthropist, and social activist based in Bodh Gaya, Bihar. He is the CEO of T.V. Plus News and Chairman of Binda Rohini New World Construction Pvt. Ltd. A visionary social worker, he is widely recognized for his humanitarian initiatives, community welfare programs, and innovative leadership in business and media.

Early Life and Family

Niraj Giri was born on 20 February 1993 in Bodh Gaya, District Gaya, Bihar, into a humble and socially active family. His father, Krishna Nandan Giri, is a renowned social worker and Jayaprakash Narayan movement activist, as well as the Founder and Secretary of Gandhi Peace Foundation Centre. His mother, Kamla Devi, is a homemaker known for her supportive and compassionate nature.

He has two elder brothers and one elder sister:

  • Sister – Usha Giri (B.H.M.S Doctor)
  • Brother – Ashok Giri (Advisor and Social Worker)
  • Brother – Vikas Giri (Social Worker)

The Giri family continues to work collectively for social and humanitarian causes in Bihar and Jharkhand.

Education

Niraj Giri completed his schooling at Manav Bharti National School, Bodh Gaya, and pursued his graduation from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya. From his early school years, he exhibited a creative and leadership-oriented personality. He participated in district-level art competitions and secured top positions, showing his early interest in innovation and social service.

Career and Entrepreneurship

Niraj Giri began his professional journey in the real estate sector to support his family financially. His determination and business acumen led him to establish Binda Rohini New World Construction Pvt. Ltd. in 2018, named in honor of his grandparents. The company operates in Bihar and Jharkhand, contributing to housing and infrastructure development.

He later founded T.V. Plus News, a registered news channel, where he currently serves as Chief Executive Officer. Through this platform, he focuses on public interest journalism and promoting awareness of social and developmental issues.

Social Work and Humanitarian Efforts

From a young age, Niraj Giri was inspired by his father’s activism. He began engaging in social activities as a teenager. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he and his team distributed food, ration, and medical supplies to underprivileged communities across Bodh Gaya. In the second wave, he also arranged oxygen cylinders and medicines for patients in need.

Local media and newspapers praised his efforts, calling him “Devdoot” (Angel) and “Lockdown Messiah” for his humanitarian work during the crisis.

Niraj Giri organizes social and religious charity drives across Bihar. Every winter, he distributes blankets at night among the homeless and poor near temples and public areas. A regular blood donor, Niraj Giri holds a registered donor ID (BRGAYO30852) with the State Health Society, Bihar. On Mother’s Day 2022, he pledged to donate all his organs after death. This pledge was officially approved by the National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO), Government of India. Land on the Moon

In October 2019, Niraj Giri gained national attention for purchasing a piece of land on the Moon, becoming the fourth Indian citizen to do so. The Lunar Society of New York issued the official certificate confirming his lunar property ownership. His achievement was widely covered in newspapers, TV channels, and online media.

Niraj Giri was invited by the Government of Jharkhand to participate in discussions on Ranchi Smart City development. He contributed valuable suggestions and insights regarding sustainable urban growth and youth participation in government initiatives.
