Sarvesh Agrahari is an Indian entrepreneur and the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Cofinex, a regulated multi-jurisdictional cryptocurrency exchange and fintech ecosystem. He is also the founder of Minos Blockchain s.r.o., based in the Czech Republic. Agrahari is recognized for his role in advancing digital asset regulation and building blockchain-based financial services across India, Europe, and Asia.

Early Life and Education

Sarvesh Agrahari was born in 1989 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his schooling at Nehru Bal Vidya Mandir and pursued higher education at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication (MCU). From a young age, he showed an interest in numbers, markets, and technology, which later shaped his career in trading and blockchain.

Early Career in Finance

Agrahari began trading in the Indian equity markets as a student in 2002. Over time, he became a professional trader, earning certifications from the National Stock Market Institute (NSIM) and Management Development Program (MDP). He also founded a stockbroking company in India.

Entry into Blockchain

After the Brexit referendum in 2016, Agrahari shifted his focus to blockchain and digital assets. Between 2017 and 2019, he worked as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Director of Strategy and Planning at a blockchain-based company. By 2019, he pursued independent ventures in digital assets.

Founding Cofinex

In 2022, Agrahari founded Cofinex as a regulated multi-jurisdictional cryptocurrency exchange.

  • Raised US$2.5 million through angel investors and an ICO in 2024
  • Secured a Virtual Digital Asset (VDA) licence from the Czech Republic
  • Applied for a full MiCA licence to operate across the EU
  • Partnered with Mastercard International to launch the Cofinex Crypto Card
  • Expanded services to include staking, gift cards, Web3 wallet, and CNX token

Regulatory Engagement

Between 2023 and 2025, Agrahari coordinated with FIU-India and the Czech National Bank (CNB) to ensure Cofinex compliance in AML/CFT operations. The company integrated systems from Chainalysis, Notabene, Hacken, Coinbase (Trust Network), and other compliance providers.

Partnerships and Collaborations

Cofinex has formed partnerships with:

  • Google Cloud and Alibaba Cloud (grants worth US$200,000)
  • Major exchanges including Bitfinex, Bitget, and KuCoin

Vision

Agrahari’s vision is to make Cofinex one of the world’s largest regulated crypto exchanges, with plans for an IPO by 2029.
