Dr. Prakash Divakaran
Prof. (Dr.) Prakash Divakaran (born 26 February 1973) is a distinguished Indian academic, entrepreneur, author, and Vice Chancellor of Himalayan University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. He is widely recognized for his contributions in the fields of supply chain management, research methodology, and academic leadership. He is also the Director & CEO of Infinite Global Research Conference Pvt. Ltd., Pune.
Early Life and Education
Prakash Divakaran was born in Kayankulam, Kerala, where he completed his schooling at CMS High School. He pursued a B.A in Malayalam from MSM College, Kerala, and a B.Com from MPBOU, Bhopal. Later, he earned an MBA and Ph.D. in Business Administration from Madurai Kamaraj University. Over the years, he obtained additional qualifications including an M.Com, PG Diplomas in International Business Operations and Supply Chain Management, an M.Phil., and a Diploma in Central Excise & Customs.
Professional Career
Dr. Prakash began his career in the private sector, serving in key roles in leading companies such as:
- TEK Electromechanicals Pvt. Ltd.
- TACO Hendrickson Pvt. Ltd.
- TATA YAZAKI Pvt. Ltd.
- Minda Industries Ltd.
- Polyrub Cooper Standard Pvt. Ltd. (Deputy General Manager – SCM)
In 2018, he became the Director & CEO of Infinite Global Research Conference Pvt. Ltd. He later joined Himalayan University as a visiting professor in 2022, was promoted to Pro-Vice Chancellor in the same year, and took charge as Vice Chancellor in May 2025.
