Early Life
Rahul Thakur, popularly known as Ricky Mountaineer, grew up in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Fascinated by the mountains from an early age, he explored trails across Himachal and Ladakh before formally starting his mountaineering career in 2019. His passion soon evolved into a professional journey as an expedition leader.
Career
As a professional mountaineer, Ricky has successfully climbed more than 30 peaks above 6000m and 2 peaks above 7000m in Himachal and Ladakh, along with challenging climbs in the Sikkim Himalayas. He is recognized for completing fast and solo ascents, establishing a reputation for discipline, endurance, and technical skill.

Vision and Goals
Ricky aims to promote mountaineering in India and inspire future climbers. His ultimate mission is to climb and complete all 107 peaks in the Indian Himalayas, while also attempting unclimbed and unnamed peaks to push the boundaries of exploration.
