Mohitosh Tanti
Mohitosh Tanti (born 21 August 1998) is an Indian government official from Assam serving as the Personal Secretary to Shri. Parimal Suklabaidya, Member of Parliament representing the Silchar Lok Sabha Constituency, under the Lok Sabha Secretariat, Government of India. He is widely recognized for his administrative leadership, public relations expertise, media coordination, constituency management, and public outreach. Prior to his current role, he served as Public Relations Officer (PRO) under the Government of Assam and has actively contributed to government communication, youth leadership, and organisational development.
Early Life and Family
Mohitosh Tanti was born on 21 August 1998 at Chotojalenga Part-II under Borjalenga Gaon Panchayat in Cachar district, Assam, into a respected family known for its longstanding contribution to education, culture, and social service.
His father, Shri Mohesh Chandra Tanti, is a retired teacher under the Ministry of Education, Government of Assam. He is a distinguished educationist, cultural activist, sports enthusiast, and founding member of Chotojalenga M.V. School. Throughout his career, he has actively promoted education, community development, and social welfare.
Shri Mohesh Chandra Tanti presently serves as the President of Ekal Abhiyan, Dwarbond Unit. He also served as President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Dakshin Cachar Zilla Janmashtami Celebration Committee, contributing significantly to religious, cultural, and social activities across the region.
Mohitosh's elder brother, Shri Mohit Tanti, is an entrepreneur, proprietor of Utkal Store and DT Essential, and an accomplished cultural artist. He has received numerous honours from the Government of Assam and several social and cultural organisations for his contributions to art and culture.
The Tanti family is regarded as one of the oldest and most respected families in Chotojalenga and is recognized for its dedication to education, culture, community service, and public welfare.

During his college and university years, Mohitosh Tanti actively participated in social and youth organisations. He was associated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and its student organisation, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), where he participated in various social, educational, and nationalist initiatives.
Later, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Cachar District, serving as Media In-Charge before being appointed District Secretary. He served three consecutive terms as District Secretary under the leadership of Shri Amitesh Chakraborty, contributing to organisational development, youth engagement, public communication, and social outreach.
Professional Career
Mohitosh Tanti began his professional administrative career in 2020 by joining the office of Shri Parimal Suklabaidya, then Cabinet Minister of Assam, as PRO-cum-Media In-Charge.
From 12 April 2020 to 30 April 2024, he officially served under the Establishment of the Hon'ble Cabinet Minister for Forest & Environment, Transport, and Excise, Government of Assam. During this period, he was entrusted with responsibilities including:
