Shailesh Singh Shailu was born on 24 August 1995 in Sarai Ali, Manjhara Taukli, Tehsil Kaiserganj, District Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, India. He belongs to a family associated with the Maurya community. He currently resides in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh.

Shailesh Singh Shailu began his political journey as a student leader at Kisan P.G. College, Bahraich, where he served in the student union.
He is actively associated with the Samajwadi Party and has emerged as a prominent youth leader. He has served as District President of Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha and Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha in Bahraich district.
Currently, he is serving as State Vice President of Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha, Uttar Pradesh, and also holds the responsibility of In-charge of Aligarh Division.
His political journey focuses on youth engagement, leadership development, and strengthening grassroots political presence. He has been guided in his political career by Akhilesh Yadav.
