Early Life
Kalaiarasan Loganathan was born on 14 December 1996 in Vellakovil, Tamil Nadu. He grew up in a middle-class family where his father, Loganathan Palaniappan, was involved in buying and selling second-hand cars and occasionally worked as a driver. His mother, Sagunthala Natarajan, is a homemaker. Kalaiarasan’s upbringing in a modest environment instilled values of hard work, resilience, and financial responsibility. He completed his schooling at Punitha Amala Annai School in his hometown.
Education
Kalaiarasan pursued higher education in Coimbatore, earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology. Despite his engineering background, he faced difficulties securing a job in the IT sector after graduation.
Career
After graduating, Kalaiarasan struggled to find employment in the IT sector and was burdened with an education loan of approximately ₹5 lakhs. He initially worked as a video editor in the television media industry earning a modest salary. A major setback occurred when he was cheated by an agent promising a job in Singapore.
In 2020, Kalaiarasan moved to the Maldives after securing a position as an Airport Representative at Velana International Airport, earning a salary of around $450 USD per month. This role provided him valuable experience in the global tourism and hospitality industry.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kalaiarasan lost his job and returned to India. He identified a business opportunity by arranging quarantine transit packages for travelers in the Maldives. This initiative evolved into TheTourist360, a travel company offering curated holiday packages primarily focused on the Maldives and expanding to other international and Indian destinations.
Today, TheTourist360 operates with a professional team of over 20 staff members and serves travelers across India and internationally.
