Sarranjit Bains (born 12 January 1975) is a veteran Indian journalist, editor, author, lyricist, and media personality, widely respected for his three decades of contribution to journalism, literature, and Punjabi culture. He is the CEO & Founder of R-19 NEWS TV and Editor-in-Chief of The Times of Punjab.

He has authored seven books, written lyrics sung by renowned Punjabi artists, and has been recognized in the Parliament of Ontario (Canada). One of his proudest achievements is presenting his book to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji — a moment that symbolizes his literary and journalistic excellence.

Early Life

Sarranjit Bains was born on 12 January 1975 in Garhshankar, Punjab, to Agriculture Inspector Ram Das Bains and his wife Sudesh Rani.

He began his schooling at Doaba Public School, Parowal (Garhshankar) up to 10th standard, then continued his studies at Senior Secondary Public School, Garhshankar. His interest in news, writing, and social causes from a young age naturally led him toward journalism.

They are parents to a daughter, Ridham Bains
