Chandramouli Vidyasaghar (born July 1, 1980) is an Indian entrepreneur, photographer, and endurance cyclist, widely respected for his leadership in the printing and publishing industry, as well as his passion for wildlife photography and fitness.

He is the Director of Orient Color Art Printers Pvt. Ltd., one of the most prominent printing companies in South India, and a Partner in The Orient Industries, a leading manufacturer of high-quality playing cards. Through these ventures, Chandramouli has strived to elevate Sivakasi’s printing industry to international standards.

Beyond his professional life, Chandramouli is an award-winning wildlife photographer whose works have been published in National Geographic, leading UK magazines, and Asian Photography Magazine. He has also been recognized as Canon Photographer of the Month (2025) and won the National Photography Award.

As a passionate endurance cyclist, he achieved the prestigious Super Randonneur title by completing 200 km, 300 km, 400 km, and 600 km cycling brevets under the Audax Club Parisien.

Early Life

Chandramouli was born in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, known as the “Little Japan of India” for its thriving printing industry. Growing up in a business family, he was introduced early to printing presses, colors, and designs, fostering a sense of responsibility to continue the family legacy.

He completed schooling in Sivakasi and went on to earn his B.Com at Loyola College, Chennai. Later, he pursued his MBA at the University of Missouri, USA, where he gained international exposure to global business practices.

He also received training from the Print Media Academy, Heidelberg (Germany) in Chennai, which added to his technical expertise and managerial outlook.

Career

Chandramouli joined his family business, Orient Color Art Printers Pvt. Ltd., in 1997. Over time, he modernized the company with advanced technology, expanded facilities, and diversified product portfolios.

The company produces:

  • Diaries and calendars (wall and table)
  • Notebooks, files, and folders
  • Stationery, corporate brochures, leaflets, flyers, posters
  • Stickers, labels, packaging cartons, gift boxes, jewellery boxes

They also launched the premium brand UNICORNN, offering high-end diaries and calendars marketed globally.

Alongside, as a Partner in The Orient Industries, Chandramouli has contributed to making it one of the most respected manufacturers of premium playing cards in India.

His contributions earned the company international certifications in quality and export management, as well as awards like the Print Pack Award and Maditssia Award.

Wildlife Photography

Chandramouli is an acclaimed wildlife photographer with published works in National Geographic, Asian Photography Magazine, and UK publications. His photography has earned him national and international recognition, including a National Photography Award.

Cycling and Fitness

A passionate endurance cyclist, Chandramouli achieved Super Randonneur status in 2017–2018 by completing four long-distance events (200 km, 300 km, 400 km, and 600 km) under the Audax Club Parisien.
