Pancha Koshas is an Indian aerial yoga and arts school based in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. Established in 2023 by Sagar Kinare, it is recognized as India’s first dedicated institution focused exclusively on aerial yoga and related arts. The school offers structured teacher training courses, workshops, and retreats designed to blend strength, restoration, and mindfulness.

History

Pancha Koshas was founded in 2023 in Rishikesh by Sagar Kinare with the aim of teaching aerial yoga as a structured and holistic practice. Unlike studios that treat aerial as a recreational activity, Pancha Koshas emphasizes depth, mindfulness, and the integration of yoga’s traditional essence into aerial practice.

Programs

The school offers structured teacher training programs in multiple levels:

  • Level 1 – 50 hours (Basics)
  • Level 2 – 50 hours (Mastery/Teaching)
  • Level 1 + 2 – 100 hours (Combined)
  • Level 3 – 85 hours (Advanced)
  • Level 4 – 100 hours (Master)
  • Aerial Yin/Restorative – 35 hours
  • Customized Private TTC

Services

Alongside teacher training, Pancha Koshas conducts:

  • Daily aerial yoga workshops
  • Retreats in Rishikesh
  • Long-term mentoring and support for graduates
  • Specialized training for fitness, rehabilitation, and meditative practices

Philosophy

Pancha Koshas follows a philosophy of teaching aerial yoga as a discipline that combines strength, restoration, and mindfulness. Its approach is characterized by:

  • Inclusive learning – hammocks support all levels, including beginners, those with injuries, or individuals with stiffness, ensuring safe practice.
  • Structured progression – tiered courses from basics to advanced levels.
  • No rushed drops – focus on control, alignment, and breath rather than quick tricks.
  • Rooted in tradition – yoga’s essence is maintained, even in aerial practice.
