Arbind Kumar Tiwary is an Indian teacher and social worker based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Career

Arbind Kumar Tiwary began his teaching career on 21 September 1994. He is currently the Acting Head Master of UMS Tangrain in Potka Block, East Singhbhum, Jharkhand, with over 30 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership. Under his leadership, the school has undergone significant infrastructure development and pedagogical innovation, including community mobilization for land donation and construction projects, establishment of a computer lab, and introduction of child-centered learning initiatives. He has also contributed as a member of the JCERT Ranchi Textbook Development Committee for Social Science textbooks for classes 6 to 8.

Achievements

Tiwary has received multiple awards including the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar (2018, 2019), District Best Teacher Award (2019, 2021, 2023), Sampurna Award by District Administration (2025), and was nominated for the National Teacher Award (2025). He was selected among the country's top 40 teachers by Dainik Bhaskar in 2025 and felicitated by the Union Education Minister. Other recognitions include Best Teacher honors from local newspapers and Rotary Club, Teacher Hero Award from Leap for World, and the Star Excellence Award from Samarth Teacher Training Academy.

Social Initiatives

He is the founder of the NGO Youth Unity for Voluntary Action and YUVA Pustakalaya, a community library initiative started in 1996. Tiwary has donated blood 66 times and organized 42 blood donation camps, reflecting his commitment to public health and social welfare.
