Mritunjay Varun is an Indian artist and draftsmen based in India. He is known for his work in animation, game design, and art education, as well as his association with the FORCE drawing methodology.

Early Life

Mritunjay Varun was born on 7 June 1998. He developed an interest in drawing at a very early age and used art as a primary form of expression during his childhood. He was raised by his grandmother Gayatri Devi Varun and his aunt Jyoti Varun, who played a significant role in his upbringing.

Education

Mritunjay Varun completed his schooling at Delhi International School. He later pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from Artemisia College of Fine Arts and Animation in Indore, where he trained under Raju Majumdar and developed a strong foundation in gesture drawing and anatomy.

Career

Mritunjay Varun began his professional journey in animation and game design, working in studio environments as well as freelance projects. He later became associated with the FORCE drawing methodology developed by Michael Mattesi, which significantly influenced his artistic approach.

He went on to become an art instructor with Drawing FORCE, where he trained students globally in gesture drawing, anatomy, and character design. Over the years, he has taught hundreds of students through workshops, online courses, and mentorship programs across India and internationally, including Dubai.

He has also worked as a faculty member at Artemisia College of Art and Design, teaching subjects such as anatomy, gesture drawing, and character design.

As an illustrator, Mritunjay Varun contributed extensively to instructional books under the FORCE brand, including FORCE Fabric: How to Draw Clothes, where he created a majority of the illustrations. He is also the principal illustrator for the upcoming book FORCE: How to Draw Heads, Hands, and Feet.

Achievements

Mritunjay Varun has trained more than 500 students at university level and mentored many aspiring artists who have progressed into professional careers. He has built a strong digital presence with a combined following of over 100,000 across platforms.

He achieved a personal milestone by purchasing his own house at the age of 24 through his professional earnings.

Personal Life

Mritunjay Varun faced several personal challenges during his life, including the loss of close family members who raised him. Despite these hardships, he continued to focus on his artistic growth and teaching career.
