Ratnadeep Lal is an Indian fashion technologist, educationist and entrepreneur known for pioneering fashion education in India and several international markets. Ratnadeep Lal is the founder chairman of the International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), one of the early institutes that introduced structured fashion education in India during the early 1990s.

Ratnadeep Lal developed an early interest in fashion technology, design and global trade. Over the years he built a career combining fashion education, garment production, retailing, branding and international collaboration with fashion institutions.

Ratnadeep Lal has more than 35 years of experience in fashion education, garment manufacturing, retailing, merchandising, branding and international business development.

He played a significant role in spreading vocational fashion education across India and abroad. Under his guidance more than 100,000 professionals have received training through more than 70 branches located in major cities in India and internationally.

During his professional career he worked extensively in the United Kingdom and France where he collaborated with major designers and fashion houses in production, sampling, merchandising and marketing.
