Syed Imran
Dr. Syed Imran is an Indian medical practitioner known for his social service and low-cost medical treatment programs aimed at underprivileged communities. Popularly referred to as the 10 Rupees Doctor and 5 Rupees Doctor, he is recognized for providing healthcare support to financially struggling individuals and rural populations.
Early Life
Syed Imran was born on 01 November 1990 in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India. His native place is Madhavamala village, Yerpadu Mandal, Tirupati District, Andhra Pradesh. He grew up with strong values of compassion, service, and dedication toward community well-being.
He is the elder son of Syed Abdul Rahaman and Syed Parveen. He has two siblings, Syed Ershad and Syed Innayathulla.
Education
- Earlier schooling at Rami Reddy Rayalaseema High School, Tirupati (2001–2006)
- Intermediate (12th) at Narayana Junior College, Harinathapuram Campus, Nellore (2006–2008)
- Pursued MBBS at Sree Balaji Medical College, Chrompet, Chennai (2008–2014)
Career
Syed Imran is known for his approach to affordable healthcare and community medical support. He earned widespread recognition for offering treatment and consultations at minimal fees, allowing access to quality medical services for those who cannot afford conventional healthcare.
Through his consistent service efforts, he has developed trust within rural communities and is respected for his commitment to social welfare.
After completion of MBBS, he worked as Chief Medical Officer at Grace Children Hospital (2014–2016). From 2016 to 2017, he served as Duty Doctor at Apollo Hospital, Perungudi Branch, Chennai.
He started his first clinic named 5 Rupees Clinic in Madipakkam, Chennai. In 2018, he established Mega Family Clinic in Keelkattalai, Chennai. In 2021, he opened a second branch of Mega Family Clinic in Venkatachalam near Nellore.
In 2025, he launched his own brand hospital named Dr. Imran’s General Hospital located in Venkatagiri Town, Tirupati District, Andhra Pradesh.
He is currently on a mission called Every disease will he cure for 10 rupees, dedicated to affordable healthcare for all.
