Manish Shrivastava
Manish Shrivastava (born 30 September 1970) is an Indian politician, social activist, and entrepreneur from Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. With a political career spanning more than three decades, he has served in multiple leadership roles across political, social, and trade union platforms. He is currently associated with the Indian National Congress and is recognized for his work in labor rights, social justice, and community development. Apart from politics, he is the President and Managing Director of Vakartund Builders & Sainath Minerals Pvt. Ltd.
Early Life and Education
Manish Shrivastava was born on 30 September 1970 in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, to Late Shri S.P. Shrivastava. He completed his Master of Commerce (M.Com) and Bachelor of Law (LL.B.), which gave him a foundation in both commerce and legal studies. His early interest in politics and social leadership motivated him to actively engage in public life from a young age.
Political Career
Shrivastava entered active politics in 1987 as the City President of Yuva Lok Dal, Shahdol. Over the years, he held various leadership roles:
