Kumar Sumitt School of Acting Foundation was incorporated on 18 September 2025 under the Companies Act, 2013 and is registered with the Registrar of Companies (RoC), Patna with Corporate Identification Number (CIN) U88900BR2025NPL079072.
The foundation aims to provide professional acting education by combining traditional Indian theatre techniques with modern global methodologies. It is committed to developing actors, performers, and creative professionals through structured academic programs and cultural initiatives.

Early Life
Kumar Sumitt was born in Bihar, India, and began his theatre journey in 2004 in Patna.

- PGDBA / MBA in Human Resource (MIT School of Distance Education, Pune)
- Master of Arts in Dramatics (Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga)

He is also a Ph.D. scholar researching acting techniques based of Bharata’s Natyashastra and Stanislavski’s realism on stage and cinema - An analytical study.
Career
Kumar Sumitt began his theatre career as a backstage worker and gradually evolved into an actor, director, and educator. He has:

- Performed in 1500+ open-air shows
- Directed multilingual theatre productions
- Conducted workshops across India and internationally
He has collaborated with ICCR and the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and has participated in international theatre projects in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Teaching and Education
Kumar Sumitt has served as a visiting faculty at multiple institutions and has trained over 5000 students in India and internationally.
