Dr Mohd Arif Siddiqui
Dr Mohd Arif Siddiqui (also known as Dr M A Siddiqui) is an Indian ophthalmologist, pediatric ophthalmologist, and strabismus (squint) surgeon. He is known for his specialized expertise in pediatric eye diseases, squint surgery, eye muscle surgery, ocular motility disorders, amblyopia management, and adult strabismus. He serves as the Founder, Director, and Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmologist & Strabismus Surgeon at Drishti Eye Hospital and Drishti 4 Eye Centre in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
Dr Siddiqui is a Gold Medalist and has received recognition as India’s Best Squint Specialist and India’s Best Squint Surgeon for his contributions to pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus surgery.
Early Life and Education
Dr Mohd Arif Siddiqui was born on 30 August 1995 in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
He completed his primary and secondary education in Moradabad and studied at Parker Inter College and H.S.V. Inter College. During his school years, he developed a strong interest in science and medicine.
In 2012, he qualified the medical entrance examination and secured admission to Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi, one of India's leading medical institutions.
From 2012 to 2017, he completed his MBBS and compulsory rotating internship at MAMC and its associated teaching hospitals.
Following his MBBS, he prepared for the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and spent approximately six months in the United States, gaining exposure to international healthcare systems and medical practices.
In 2019, he secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 112 in NEET-PG and earned admission to the prestigious MD (Ophthalmology) program at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
From 2019 to 2022, he underwent advanced postgraduate training in ophthalmology at AIIMS New Delhi. During his residency, he received extensive training in cataract surgery, pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus surgery, retina, cornea, neuro-ophthalmology, ocular trauma, and complex ocular motility disorders. He was subsequently recognized as a Gold Medalist for his academic excellence.
