He studied computer science at St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, earning a Bachelor of Science degree between 1998 and 2001. He later completed a postgraduate diploma in business management with a focus on international trade and marketing from Master School of Management between 2001 and 2003.
He also obtained a certificate in computer applications and information technology from ELNet-3L, Center for Education Technology, IIT Kharagpur, in 2002.

Oam Prakassh began his professional career in the export and textile sector. From February 2002 to March 2006, he worked as a senior merchandiser in marketing at Sharda Exports, where he was involved in export merchandising and international client coordination.
Since September 2010, he has been associated as a business owner and partner at Rugs In Style, operating in the floor covering and textile segment in the National Capital Region.
In March 2021, he became the promoter and managing director of Kiaasa, a flooring retail brand headquartered in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Under his leadership, the brand expanded its retail presence across multiple locations, including the development of an extensive store network.
