Dr. Rajumoni Hussain (born 2 February 1974) is an Indian politician and social activist based in Assam. He serves as an executive member of the BJP's Foreign Affairs Department, Assam Pradesh, and is the founder and president of the Al-Kaaba Foundation, an NGO active in disaster relief, education, and humanitarian aid.

Early Life & Education

Born in Dergaon, Golaghat district, Assam, Dr. Hussain is the son of the late Soriful Hussain. Details about his academic background are not documented.

Political Career & Leadership

Dr. Hussain joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2019 and currently holds the position of Executive Member in the BJP's Foreign Affairs Department for Assam Pradesh (2023–present). He previously served as State Vice President for the BJP’s Pradhanmantri Janakalyankari Yojana campaign in 2020. He also holds leadership roles in several organizations including:

  • Chairman (North East, Assam) of AIGCL – All India Gramin Cricket League since 2021
  • State Chairman (North East, Assam) of NHRO – National Human Rights Organization since 2021
  • President of Madrassa-E-Arabia-Hussainia, Dergaon (since 2015) and Anchalik Idgah Committee, Dergaon (since 2022), among others.

Humanitarian Initiatives

As founder and president of the Al-Kaaba Foundation, Dr. Hussain has led numerous initiatives:

  • Organized COVID-19 relief efforts including sanitization drives and food distribution to over 1,000 families.
  • Sponsored education for underprivileged students via scholarships and supply of books.
  • Conducted disaster relief during Uriamghat terror attack, Assam bandh, and flood emergencies.
  • Implemented healthcare contributions including donations to local health centers and support during emergencies.
  • Supported infrastructure development by donating resources for religious and community constructions, solar lighting, and essential supplies.

Dr. Hussain is married and resides in Dergaon, Assam. He communicates in Assamese, Hindi, English, and Bengali and has traveled to at least six countries.
