Jaiprakash Tiwari
Jaiprakash Tewari, also known as Jai Prakash Tiwari or JP Tiwari, is an Indian film producer and entrepreneur based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He is the founder of Jaiprakash Entertainment, an upcoming cinema production studio engaged in film production, distribution, and content creation. Tewari is known for producing the film Bumper Draw (2015) starring Rajpal Yadav and for his contributions to the Indian film industry and South Asian cinema collaborations.
Early Life
Jaiprakash Tewari was born in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India. He developed an early passion for cinema while pursuing his undergraduate education. Before venturing into films, Tewari worked as a real estate developer and headed Tejas Associates, a firm that operated in Dehradun.
Education
Tewari completed undergraduate studies before beginning his entrepreneurial journey. His early background in business laid the foundation for his later entry into the entertainment industry.
Career
Tewari’s professional career began with Tejas Associates, which was active in the real estate sector. With over two decades of leadership experience, he transitioned to the film industry, bringing his entrepreneurial skills into cinema production.
In 2015, he produced the comedy film Bumper Draw. The film marked his entry into Bollywood as a producer.
In 2023, he re-established his production company under the name Jaiprakash Entertainment (JPE). The company is focused on producing films, web content, television series, advertising films, and animation. JPE has announced several projects including Lakeerein, Mahadev Ka Gorakhpur, Bumper Draw, and Landing Zone.
The studio positions itself as a new-age production house investing in innovative ideas and storytelling outside of traditional formats. JPE aims to expand its presence into South Asian and SAARC film markets through global theatrical distribution and syndication.
