Khadim Purgi
Khadim Hussain (ཁ་དིམ་ ཕུར་གི། / خادم پرگی / खादिम पुर्गी), popularly known as Khadim Purgi, is an Indian entrepreneur and social activist from Kargil, Ladakh. He is recognised for his contributions to entrepreneurship, community development and the promotion of sustainable economic growth in the region.
Early Life
Khadim Hussain was born on 1 November 1999 in Kargil, Ladakh, India. He completed his graduation from Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College, Srinagar, Kashmir. He later earned his postgraduate degree from the University of Jammu. Following the completion of his education, he began his entrepreneurial journey and actively engaged in social development initiatives across Ladakh.
Career
Khadim Hussain is the Founder and Owner of Tribal Enterprises and Tribal Construction, organisations engaged in supporting local commerce, infrastructure development and business growth in Ladakh.
He is also the Co-Founder of Native Ladakh, a travel company dedicated to promoting responsible tourism by showcasing the region's unique culture, heritage, traditions and natural landscapes while encouraging sustainable travel practices.
Through his entrepreneurial ventures, he has contributed to employment generation, infrastructure development and the promotion of local businesses across the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Public Service
Khadim Hussain serves as the Chairman of the Ladakh Tribal Foundation, a non-governmental organisation working for the empowerment of tribal communities through education, skill development, environmental awareness and social welfare initiatives.
He also serves as the President of the Chamber of Industries, Kargil, where he promotes industrial development, entrepreneurship, investment opportunities and the growth of local industries.
