Sanjukta Mukherjee
Sanjukta Mukherjee is an Indian classical vocalist and instructor based in West Bengal. She is recognized for her contributions to Indian classical music education and for founding the Gurukul Music Academy in Gurgaon, Haryana.
Early Life
Sanjukta Mukherjee was born on 22 September 1981 in Bardhaman, West Bengal.
Education
Sanjukta completed her higher schooling at Harisabha Hindu Balika Vidyalaya, Bardhaman in 2000. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts with Music from MUC Women's College, Bardhaman, West Bengal in 2003. She also holds a Master's degree in Sociology from IGNOU. In music education, she completed Sangeet Visharad in Indian classical music, Rabindra Sangeet, and Nazrul Geeti, earning a Gold Medal. Additionally, she holds a Sangeet Bhaskar degree in Indian Classical Music.
Career
Sanjukta Mukherjee began her teaching career as a music teacher at Kids Kingdom School, Jodhpur, Rajasthan from 2004 to 2006. She then taught at St. Xavier School, Jodhpur, Rajasthan from 2006 to 2007, followed by Kendriya Vidyalaya, BSF, Jodhpur, Rajasthan from 2007 to 2008. Since 2010, she has been teaching at Amity International School, Gurgaon, Haryana. She is the founder and director of Gurukul Music Academy in Gurgaon, Haryana. Sanjukta is also an artist associated with Prasar Bharti, New Delhi.
