Sathe Balasaheb Kisan
Dr. Sathe Balasaheb Kisan is an Indian civil engineering consultant, academician, researcher, and banking professional. He is widely recognized for his contributions to construction engineering, project management, remote sensing, geographic information systems (GIS), water resources development, and technical education.
With over three decades of professional experience, he has worked in engineering consultancy, academic institutions, international projects, and corporate leadership. He currently serves as a Director of Cosmos Co-operative Bank Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra.

Early Professional Experience
After gaining initial experience in the construction industry, Dr. Sathe Balasaheb Kisan was selected through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) in the 2004 Batch, securing the 117th Rank. He was appointed as an Assistant Executive Engineer in the Water Resources Department, Government of Maharashtra.
In this role, he was associated with planning, execution, supervision, and management of water resources projects, including irrigation systems, hydraulic structures, water conservation initiatives, and infrastructure development. His experience in the Water Resources Department further strengthened his expertise in project management, construction engineering, flood management, hydrology, and sustainable water resource development, contributing significantly to his professional career in civil engineering.
Academic Career
Dr. Sathe served as a Professor at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune for several years, where he taught civil engineering subjects and guided research in hydraulic engineering, structural engineering, irrigation systems, and water resource management.
He was also associated with Vishw University, Pune as a Professor and Lecturer.
