Ganesh Kumar D was born on 16 November 1990 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, where he was also raised. From an early age, he showed interest in technology and the internet, launching his first website while in the 8th standard. By 2010, he had built online communities with more than 200,000 followers during the early development of social media in India.

Education

Ganesh Kumar completed a Master's in Leadership from the Indian School of Business. He also completed a certification programme in Agentic AI from MIT.

At EBG Group, Ganesh Kumar serves as Group Chief Marketing & Business Officer, leading business strategy, branding, marketing, sales, revenue growth, franchising, licensing, strategic partnerships, and business transformation across the group's portfolio. He joined EBG Group as Director of Business Strategy & Marketing before his promotion to the group leadership position.

Prior to EBG Group, he was Global Head – Growth & Strategy at Nibav Lifts and Elite Elevators, where he led growth, marketing, and sales initiatives internationally. During his tenure, the company expanded across more than 10 countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, Thailand, Mexico, Kenya, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Ganesh Kumar also served as Group Head – Digital Business Growth & Cross Sell at Shriram Group, overseeing digital growth initiatives across Shriram Finance and other group businesses. He played a key role in launching and growing ShriramOne, the financial services super app.
