• Performed Karnataka’s first 3D laparoscopic GI oncosurgery with fluorescence imaging.
• Performed Karnataka’s first laparoscopic management of corrosive esophageal injuries.
• Performed Mysore’s first laparoscopic liver resection.
• Pioneered minimally invasive and robotic approaches for colorectal, esophageal and stomach cancers in the region.
• Performed complex and rare procedures such as minimally invasive hepatopancreatoduodenectomy, laparoscopic Whipple’s procedure, ALPPS and resections involving the inferior vena cava.
• Led outreach programmes to provide low-cost laparoscopic GI cancer surgery in rural Mysore district.
• Successfully managed simultaneous multiorgan resections (rectum, liver, lungs) for metastatic disease and advanced vascular/thrombotic emergencies (SMA thrombosis) using ICG and NIR imaging.
