Sourav Chakraborty was born in Asansol, West Bengal, India. He is the son of Subhash Chakraborty and Sulata Chakraborty. From an early age, he demonstrated strong academic ability along with a deep interest in literature and creative arts.

Sourav Chakraborty completed his Graduation (Honours) from Asansol B.B. College, securing First Class First position. He later obtained his Master of Arts degree from the University of Burdwan with First Class distinction.
